General Update - October 2020
Wow, September just flew by.
At the end of my last video tutorial, I mentioned that I plan to produce new videos twice per month, and publish new runbooks more frequently than that. Sadly, I've fallen short of that goal. Knowing that I would fall short without diverting effort from other activities, and deciding not to divert that effort, has really bothered me these past few weeks - far more than I should let it (a man shortly after all). It's clear to me now that consistent release of new material isn't something I'll be able to deliver in the short term. I would like to apologize to those of you who were looking forward to new content on a somewhat predictable schedule. I'll be publishing new content when the time is right.
In case you were wondering what I was doing instead, here's how I spent most of my spare time in September:
- My last video (~10 hours)
- Development work on this blog (~20 hours)
- Factorio - Red, Green, Black, Blue, Yellow science kits automated (~67 hours)
- Satisfactory - Showing a buddy of mine who just got into the game the ropes (~12 hours)
- Other games with friends (~10 hours)
- Initial work on a new Ruby on Rails / React application - It will be an RPG game...eventually (~90 hours)
I don't regret a second of it.
Until next time!
